Description

The Post Office and stores in Newland is likely from the early 18th century but has been altered in the 19th century. It features roughcast walls and a slate roof with a hipped gable facing the street and a shallow hipped projection on the side. There is a rendered stack on the right side of the building. The structure has two windows with wood mullion and transom casements, which are set under simple, slightly cambered arches. The entrance is located on the side of the building. This property is included for its group value with the Ostrich Inn.
