Former mill and adjoining house, converted to large private house. House to left refronted in early/mid C18, with former mill on right converted to house in early C20. The whole possibly originally late C17, with a mill on this site since medieval periods of nearby Priory of St. John. Coursed rubble stone faced in ashlar on front of house, stone slate roof, 3 stone stacks. Single range, 2 storeys with one gabled attic dormer on left hand side. Ashlar- faced section has 3 windows, 12-pane sashes in plain stone architraves. Two similar below, central doorcase with shallow open pedimented hood on scrolled brackets, recessed 6-panel Door, top 2 glazed, rest fielded. Former mill has three 12-pane sashes in plain reveals, C20 bay to left on ground floor, central door of 4 recessed panels with gabled hood on brackets, and 12-pane sash to right with brick relieving arch below cut into by store sill of sash, and mill race running underneath.
