Description
Westhill is an early to mid-19th century building, originally two cottages in a row, now combined into one dwelling. It is constructed of limestone rubble with a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks. The building has a rectangular plan and one-and-a-half storeys. The front elevation features two 2-light slate-hung eaves dormers and two half-dormers, all with wooden casement windows. The ground floor has three 2-light wooden casement windows with horizontal glazing bars within cambered-headed surrounds, alongside two single lights and two 2-light casements with timber lintels. One casement is positioned within the blocked opening of a cambered-headed doorway, and all casements have horizontal glazing bars. A 20th-century rendered gabled porch is located off-centre to the right side, containing a 20th-century studded plank door. An axial stack is present, topped with a capping detail. The interior remains uninspected.
