Description
15 Great Rissington is one of a pair of cottages built in the mid to late 17th century. The structure features a mix of coursed squared and dressed limestone, along with limestone rubble and dressed stone quoins. It has a rectangular plan with a later lean-to extension at the rear, which is not of special interest. The cottage is two stories high and has a two-windowed facade. The first floor has wooden casements, some of which retain leaded panes. On the ground floor, there is a 2-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement with a stopped hood, and a 19th-century two-light casement with leaded panes set within a dressed stone surround that has a cambered head. The central plank door is also within a dressed stone surround with a cambered head. A gable-end stack features moulded cappings and skirtings. The interior has not been inspected.
