Description
No. 7 is one of a pair of cottages located in Great Rissington, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed of limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof with an ashlar stack. It has a rectangular plan and stands at one and a half storeys high.
The cottage has two eaves dormers that are slate hung and contain 20th century wooden casements. On the ground floor, there is one three-light and two two-light late 19th century wooden casements, with the left-hand casement set within the blocking of a former doorway. All casements include glazing bars. There is a 20th century plank door located off-centre to the right, which has three glass panes at the top. The building also features an axial stack with moulded capping and skirting. The interior has not been inspected.
