Description

No. 8 is one of a pair of cottages located in Great Rissington, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed from limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof with two large coursed squared and dressed limestone stacks. It has a rectangular plan and is 1½ storeys high, with a gable on the left side that is lit by a late 19th to early 20th century two-light casement window. The ground floor has two late 19th to early 20th century three-light casement windows, all of which include glazing bars. The central entrance consists of a 20th century plank door with three glass panes at the top. There is a 20th century projecting stack at the right gable end and a single axial stack, both of which have moulded cappings. The interior has not been inspected.
