Description
No. 11 Little Tarlton is a large detached cottage built between 1909 and 1926 as part of a group of seven cottages designed by Ernest Barnsley. The cottages share a similar style, featuring coursed and dressed stone, a stone slate roof, and stone stacks with offset and moulded cornices. They are all single storey with an attic. The windows are mostly scattered and consist of either 2 or 3-light casements with cambered heads, or 2-light casements with timber lintels, along with some small 4 or 6-pane single lights. The doors are made of planks. No. 11 has a prominent gable on the north side with a lower eaves line to the left, and the door is topped with a flat stone hood supported by brackets.
