Description
Nos 9 and 10 Little Tarlton are semi-detached cottages built between 1909 and 1926 as part of a group of seven cottages designed by Ernest Barnsley. They share a similar architectural style, featuring coursed and dressed stone, a stone slate roof, and stone stacks with offset and moulded cornices. Both cottages are single storey with an attic. The windows are mostly scattered, consisting of either 2 or 3-light casements with cambered heads, or 2-light casements with timber lintels, along with some small 4 or 6-pane single lights. The entrances are through plank doors. The layout of Nos 9 and 10 forms an 'L' shape, with a small gable on No 9 and a projecting wing on No 10 that includes a cross gable on the west side.
