Description
The stableblock and coach house, located approximately 30 meters northeast of Cotswold Park, dates from the late 18th century. The upper floor was converted for domestic use in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring dressed stone quoins, a slate roof, and brick stacks. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and consists of two storeys and an attic.
On the east elevation, there is a central stable door with a dressed stone lintel and keystone, flanked by fixed six-light casements within dressed stone surrounds. Three 20th-century two-light slate-hung half dormers are present, with a central half dormer set within the blocking of a former pitching door. The coach house projects forward on the right side and has two segmental-headed double doors, with a three-light slate-hung half dormer above. The roof is hipped with lateral stacks.
Inside, the stables retain the original stall divisions, which are equipped with cast iron railings at the top. A square cobbled yard is situated between the two ranges.
