Description
The barn at Cotswold Farm, located to the west of the house, dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and features a roof made of stone slate and partly artificial slate. The barn has timber doorway lintels and cross-gablet vents on its gable ends. It consists of five bays and has a central porch on the south side only, with shelter sheds and a store on the south side that return at the east end.
The porch has a hipped roof and contains three rows of pigeon holes below. There is a small doorway with a timber lintel and a plank door, flanked by two small leaded windows with timber lintels. The shelter shed to the left now has transparent corrugated roofing supported by round stone piers. The lean-to store on the right features two small leaded windows and two doors at the east end. The large main doorway on the north side includes glazed lights above, with scattered fenestration on this elevation, featuring small casements with concrete lintels.
Interior alterations include the extension of the adjoining cottages on the west through the external wall of the barn. The barn is listed for its group value.
