Description
Two large adjoining barns at Manor Farm, dating from the late 18th century, are located to the west of Manor Farmhouse. They are constructed of rubble stone and feature a stone slate roof, with some sections covered in double Roman tiles.
The northern barn has a hipped cart entry positioned to the right of the center on the west side, which includes a timber lintel and double timber doors, flanked by 20th-century corrugated lean-tos. There is also a low-level entry on the opposite side with a later gabled porch. This barn consists of six bays and has collar and tie beam trusses with queen post struts and two tenoned purlins.
The southern barn features two similar hipped entries on the west side, with a lean-to in between. A partition wall divides this barn into four bays to the north and likely six bays to the south, with a similar roof structure. The east side of the barns includes a series of smaller adjoining farm buildings, and the south end has a large shed projecting on the east side.
