Description
Riverside Cottage is a plain cottage composed of three parts, with the central section dating from the early 18th century and mid-19th century wings on either side. The central part is built of rubble with ashlar quoins and features a Cotswold stone roof, while the north wing has a concrete imitation stone slate roof. The cottage is two storeys high, with an attic that includes a gabled dormer, and has coped verges along with 19th-century ashlar chimneys. The central section has two mullion windows and a door to the left in a chamfered surround. Both wings have a similar roof pitch; the left wing features an irregular arrangement of windows and a doorway, while the right wing has a projecting gabled section dated 1978 and a range of windows to the left with keyed segmental heads and casements. The cottage is shown on the Ordnance Survey map as Brookfield.
