Description

NAUNTON VILLAGE STREET SP 1123 (s side) 8/78 Riverside Cottage (previously listed as Ash Tree 25.8.60 Villa & Ash Tree Cottage ) GV II

Plain cottage in 3 parts. Centre early C18 with mid-C19 flanking wings. Rubble, centre with ashlar quoins, Cotswold stone roof (north wing in concrete imitation stone slates). 2 storeys, centre with attic (gabled dormer), and coped verges with ashlar C19 chimneys. 2 windows, mullion type, door to left in chamfered surround. Both wings have similar roof pitch, the left hand one has an irregular range of windows and a doorway; the right hand one has a gabled wing (dated 1978) projecting to east and one range of windows to left with keyed segmental heads, casements.
