Description
Longford House, dating from around 1800, is a farmhouse constructed from coursed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof, featuring coped ranges and end chimneys. The building has two storeys and three windows, which are glazing bar sashes; the outer windows have 16 panes and are set in raised surrounds with keys. The central arched doorway includes a traceried fanlight and a six-panel door. The house is positioned some distance back from the road. In front, to the south, there are low garden walls with axial gate piers topped by discus shapes. At the rear, there are two gabled wings, along with attached lower outbuildings to the east side, all built from similar materials.
