Description
This is a cart shed and granary, likely built in the mid to late 18th century, located immediately to the south-east of South Farmhouse. It is constructed from rubble stone with alternating flush quoins and features a stone slate roof. On the west side, there is a large central cambered timber lintel designed for carts, along with a large inserted opening to the right that likely replaced a doorway. The south side has a flight of 15 stone steps, which includes 6 steps at right angles that turn the corner to continue parallel in the south-east corner next to a barn. These steps lead up to a plain boarded loft door that has a stone surround and timber lintel. Below the parallel flight of steps, there is a kennel hole with a door.
