Description

The animal shelter at Jenners Farm in Maiseyhampton is a Grade II listed building, likely dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a hipped stone slate roof. The structure is L-shaped and originally formed one corner of a much larger U-shaped shelter, most of which has been demolished. Aside from the blockwork wall to the east, the shelter remains in its original condition. It has five bays that turn the corner, supported by tapering stone Tuscan columns on bases, along with some additional wooden pillar supports. Wooden mangers are still in place along the back of the roadside section.
