Description

This barn dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof over the northern part and the cart entry and lean-to; the southern section has a corrugated asbestos roof. The south side features a prominent, hipped projecting cart entry with a large timber lintel and double doors, and an adjacent hipped lean-to to the right. An opposed, flushed entry is also present, with a large timber lintel. Small slit vents are visible in the gable ends, and square vents are located on the north wall. The interior is not accessible. The barn holds group value as a well-preserved example of an agricultural building from the 18th century.
