Description
The Hairdressers Shop is a small end cottage, likely built in the early to mid 17th century. It features an incised render front with rubble stone sides and a stone slate roof. The building has a brick end stack on the right that connects to the stone end stack of Barbers Cottage, which has a separate roof at the same level as Barbers Cottage. This single-range structure has a rear extension with a catslide roof and stands two storeys tall with an attic. The front has one window, which is a twin wooden casement set in a reveal. To the left, there is a recessed door with four flush panels, and to the right, a 20th-century three-light window with arched lights. A small gabled dormer on the roof contains two small six-pane casements.
