Description

Barbers Cottage is a small house situated in a terrace on Burford Street in Lechlade. It likely dates from the early to mid 17th century. The house is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof. A stone end stack is located on the left-hand side, connecting with a brick stack belonging to the adjacent property to the north, both rising to the same roof level. The main range is single-story and a half, with a rear extension and a likely attic at the back. It features one window on the front, a 20th-century three-light wood casement with a timber lintel. Below is a larger three-light window and a half-glazed 20th-century door to the right, both beneath a continuous new timber lintel.
