Description
No. 1 Milton Place is a corner house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone slate roof, with a stone end stack on the left that has been raised in brick, and a renewed brick end stack on the right. The building is a single range, two storeys high with an attic.
The façade includes two windows, which are 2-light wood mullion and transom designs, along with a small 2-light casement window to the left, all set beneath timber lintels. To the right, there is an inserted gabled dormer, likely from the 19th century, featuring paired casements. On the ground floor, there is a wood 2-light mullion and transom window with a timber lintel, set into a former wider opening. Additionally, there is a slightly recessed door with four flush panels in a moulded wood surround, and to the right, a 3-light wood mullion and transom window with glazing bars and a timber lintel.
