Description
This dovecote, still in use, dates to 1744. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof. The dovecote is a small, cross-gabled square, featuring a saddlestone and finial on each gable. A single stone light is present in the south gable, featuring an iron stanchion. A door is located on the west side, with large, slightly chamfered stone jambs and lintel, and a plank door. Inside, square perches are situated around the walls. A stone marked with the date “1744” is located on the west side.
