Description
The small stable block at Saddlewood Manor, located immediately east of the barns, likely dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed stone with flush quoins and features a stone slate roof. The gable ends have open keyed rectangular stone frames with near-oval central openings. Inside, there is a king post roof spanning five bays, with each bay containing a stall that has a stable door and a small hopper light on the right and rear wall. The original plank stall partitions remain, with some stalls featuring barrel-like corner feeding mangers. Additionally, the south gable end has a mounting block consisting of three steps attached.
