Description

The building is a village lock-up located approximately 20 meters northwest of the Swan Hotel in Bibury. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of ashlar limestone with a stone slate roof. The lock-up has a hexagonal plan and features a plain front doorway with a heavy studded door. There is a small square opening in the rear wall, secured with heavy vertical iron bars. The building has a plain eaves band and a hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
