Description
The bridge over the Thames and Severn Canal, located next to the Round House, dates from the late 1780s to early 1790s. It is constructed of coursed and dressed stone and carries a track over the now disused canal, situated near its junction with the River Thames. The bridge features a single round arch that rises approximately 2 meters above the banks at its highest point, complete with a keystone and voussoirs. It has square corner piers and coped walls that slope steeply up to a flat central section, giving it the appearance of a hump bridge. The total length of the bridge is about 10 meters and it is 3.5 meters wide. On the south side, there is a panel with Roman numerals LVIII.
