Description
Church Farmhouse is a building that dates from the mid-17th century and has an earlier core and details. Originally a mill, it stands two and a half storeys high, constructed of rubble with a new tile roof. The east front features a gable end on the left and an extension on the right, with a moulded string approximately at the first-floor cill height. The gable includes a two-light mullion window in the attic and three-light windows below, along with a small window and a range of later windows to the right. There are two ridge chimneys with moulded capping.
On the south front, there are three first-floor windows with two-light hollow chamfer mullions, while the ground floor windows have been altered. A central 19th-century porch with a gable is present. At the rear, there is a stair-turret extension with blocked windows. To the north, in the farmyard, traces of a doorway with early 16th-century mouldings can be found.
Inside, there are two doorways with similar mouldings, one of which was formerly external on the north side, and the other is in the front room. The stair turret features a fine newel stair and two doorways with good early mouldings. Additionally, there is a similar wooden doorway leading to the main room of the attic.
