Description
Foxcote Grange is a former house and cottage that has been combined into one structure. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. The main body is constructed from large blocks of coursed squared and dressed limestone, while the 20th-century extension features random limestone. The roof is covered with slate and artificial slate, and there are ashlar stacks along with a 20th-century stone stack.
The main block is rectangular, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with a gable end front. It features 2-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods on the gable end. The ground floor has double 20th-century glazed doors set within a flat-chamfered surround. To the right, there is a 1½ storey porch with a 20th-century studded plank door, also within a flat-chamfered surround, and a two-light 20th-century casement on the upper floor. The 20th-century extension, which is set back slightly to the right, includes a three-light stone-mullioned casement.
On the left side, there is one 2-light and one 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement. Additionally, there are two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars set within segmental-headed surrounds with plain architraves. A 19th-century two-light stone-mullioned casement is located far left, along with a small 2-light casement with glazing bars on the upper floor. The building also features two 2-light roof dormers, flat gable-end coping, and stepped gable-end coping.
Inside, there are moulded stops on the tie beams and a square-panelled timber-framed partition wall.
