Description
St Catherine's Roman Catholic School, built after 1891 in a local style, possibly by W Lunn of Malvern, is a one and three-storey building constructed of rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and an ashlar chimney on the right. The large school room features a gable with three stepped trefoil-headed windows beneath a single label on the left. To the right, there are four dormer gables, each with two-light Tudor arch-headed windows. An off-centre ledged door on the left has a similar transom light above it. A lean-to on the left includes a stone mullioned window with a cornice. The playground railings extend to the south and return to the west up to the church, featuring rubble dwarf walls and ashlar dividing piers, with short railings supported by fleur-de-lys stanchions. The building is included for its group value.
