Description
The White House is a late 18th-century semi-detached house. It is constructed of ashlar facing onto a random rubble back, set on a plinth, with string courses dividing the floors and stone moulded eaves. The front section has a stone slate roof, while the remainder of the roof is in slate, with rendered end stacks to both sides. The house is of three storeys and has three windows. The upper floor windows are 9-pane sashes, while the first and ground floor windows are 12-pane sashes. To the left of the ground floor windows is a recessed door consisting of six fielded panels and a rectangular fanlight with margin glazing, accessed by two stone steps, the lower of which projects semi-circularly into the street.
