Description
3-4 The Green is a mid-19th century barn or cartshed that has been converted into two dwellings. The building is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a stone slate roof with 20th-century ashlar detailing. It has a long rectangular shape and originally had two open segmental-headed archways, which have now been glazed, on the right side for No 4. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door to the right and a single-width doorway on the left, which is also now glazed. The first floor has 20th-century wood casements, some with transoms, in two and three-light configurations. No 3, on the left, has a glazed door and a glazed panel within a double-width doorway to the right. The rear wall overlooks the green and has single-light casements on the first floor, along with 20th-century two and three-light casements on the ground floor. The gable ends feature flat coping, and there is a single axial stack. The interior has not been inspected.
