Description
The stableblock, located approximately 8 meters south of Clements Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring dressed stone quoins. The roof has stone slates on the pitch facing the farmhouse and corrugated iron at the rear. The building has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys high with a symmetrical facade that has three windows. The first floor contains three 2-light casements with shutters. The central double doorway is set within a wide flat-chamfered surround and is flanked by 2-light fixed casements. There is a plank door leading to the loft at the top of a set of double stone steps on the left gable end, which were formerly a single flight. The interior has not been inspected. This stableblock is part of a group of farm buildings.
