Description
Keepers Cottage consists of two semi-detached cottages located in Sezincote Park. No. 1 dates from the late 18th century, while No. 2 was built in the 19th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a limestone slate roof and featuring ashlar and concrete rendered stacks. No. 1 was likely originally rectangular in shape but has been extended at the rear left. No. 2 was added to the gable end of this extension, resulting in an L-shaped plan. The original rectangular building may have included a cross passage with a now-blocked entrance at the rear.
The garden front of No. 1 has two storeys and a garret, with two windows and one two-light roof dormer. The windows include two and three-light double chamfered stone-mullioned casements with horizontal glazing bars, some of which are original while others are 19th-century replacements. There is a plank door located at the lower left in a 20th-century opening, and a part-glazed door is situated off-centre to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
