Description

Church Steps consists of two semi-detached cottages, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear of No 1. The cottages are constructed from coursed, squared limestone and feature thatched roofs. Each cottage has two storeys with a single dormer under a thatched hood and 20th-century leaded casement windows. Other windows are a mix of 19th and 20th-century casements with glazing bars and segmental brick heads. Inside No 2, there is a large stone fireplace with a bressumer. The cottages are listed primarily for their group value.
