Description
Two barns located at Home Farm on the Sezincote Estate are semi-detached and situated behind the farmhouse. They are constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a limestone slate roof featuring flat gable coping. Both barns are rectangular in shape and have projecting porches that are off-center. Each porch has double doors, with additional double doors directly opposite. The right-hand barn has blocked triangular ventilation holes in its facade, while the right gable end features open ventilation holes. The left gable end of the left-hand barn also has similar open ventilation holes. The left-hand barn has roll saddles, and the right-hand barn has roll-cross saddles. Inside the right-hand barn, there are five bays with three original trusses that include a tie with two struts supporting the principal rafters, along with a collar above. The left-hand barn contains three bays with 20th-century roof timbers.
