Description
This is a chest tomb located about 3 meters east of the Strong monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary. It is believed to date from the 15th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a widely splayed moulded plinth and capping on the base. The sides and ends are made of plain slabs that are carved with quatrefoils in circles, with five on one side and two on the other, along with narrow trefoil-headed niches in between. The top slab has shifted slightly, and the entire structure is beginning to deteriorate, particularly at the eastern end, as noted in September 1985.
