Description
The Winning family monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 2 meters south of the Church of St. Michael in Brimpsfield. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features plain fielded inscription panels on the ends and the north side, with floral decoration on the end returns. The south side has a fielded inscription panel adorned with rosettes in the quadrant corners. The top of the tomb is cavetto moulded. The south side is inscribed to Sarah Winning, who died in 1763, while the east side is inscribed to William Winning, who died in 1813.
