Description

Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1840. It is constructed from coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and quoins, with a stone slate roof to the main range and Welsh slate to the outshuts. The farmhouse has two storeys and originally comprised three rooms, with a two-storey wing at the rear and single-storey outshuts at each end. The front elevation has four window bays. An off-centre doorway is flanked by two 16-pane sash windows. Four further 16-pane sash windows are on the upper floor. Each window opening has a deep dressed stone lintel and quoins. A single 16-pane sash window is present in the rear wing. Other sash windows on the rear appear to be replacements from the late 19th century; one window features a thin central stone mullion and timber casements.
