Description
Pear Tree Cottage is a small, detached house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with a stone slate roof, and features an ashlar chimney on the parapet gable. The house is single-storey with an attic, originally comprising two rooms with a gable fireplace. The front wall has one recessed chamfered mullioned window at a low level. A two-light window is located in the south gable end, within the attic. The ground floor doorway, porch, and window are 20th-century additions. The cottage is primarily included on the list due to its group value; the 20th-century extension to the east is not considered to be of architectural interest.
