Description
30 Gloucester Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built of coursed squared limestone and has a concrete tile roof with a rebuilt stone ridge stack. The house is three stories high and has a two-window range. On the first floor, there are two 20th-century two-light timber casement windows with glazing bars, set in plain reveals with flat arch lintels and stone sills. The second floor features two similar windows. The ground floor also has three similar windows, with one located in a former doorway to the right. To the left, there is a through-passage to the rear, which has a similar reveal, while the entrance to the house is now via a door at the rear. The building has a shallow plinth. Inside, there is a 20th-century staircase and no fireplaces, with two bays of a butt-purlin roof visible on the second floor. The house is included for its group value.
