Description
No. 60 Gloucester Street is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof that continues with Nos 56 and 58 Gloucester Street. The building has no visible stack and presents one gable to the street. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a one-window range. On the first floor, there is a 20th-century two-light timber casement window with glazing bars, set under an exposed timber lintel. Above, in the gable, there is a similar 20th-century window. On the ground floor to the left, there is a similar 20th-century two-light timber casement window in a blocked opening that was once a shop front, and to the right, there is a part-glazed door, also from the 20th century, under an exposed timber lintel. The interior has not been inspected. At the rear, there is a two-storey 20th-century extension that is continuous with Nos 56 and 58 Gloucester Street, effectively doubling the size of the house.
