Description
This barn, located immediately behind Elm Tree House, dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The southwest side includes a projecting gabled cart entry with a low-level timber lintel, positioned to the right of center, and a lean-to to the left that forms a catslide. There is a small square shuttered opening with a timber lintel on the left-hand return. The roadside facade is made of coursed stone and has an opposed flush entry with a timber lintel and double timber doors. To the left, there is an opening with a stone lintel that serves as a bus shelter. The barn comprises four bays and is supported by collar and tie beam trusses.
