Description
A row of four cottages built in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed and squared limestone. The roof over number 1 (the rightmost cottage) and number 2 is grey slate, while number 3 and number 4 have an artificial stone slate roof. There are four square brick stacks. The cottages are two storeys high. Number 1 has two windows, including one with two lights, and another with three lights, featuring 19th-century metal casements with glazing bars. A painted plank door is positioned slightly to the left. Number 2 has two windows, also with one, two and three lights of 20th-century metal casements with diamond panes, alongside a 19th-century painted plank door with a thumb latch, positioned slightly to the right. Number 3 has windows consistent with number 2, but also features a 20th-century canted bay window on the left side, with a matching artificial stone slate roof. A 20th-century part-glazed front door is positioned to the right. Number 4 has windows and doors similar to number 3, but without the bay window.
