Description
The Gables is a house dating from the 17th century, with a 19th-century brick extension on the left that is not of special interest. The building is constructed of coursed, squared limestone and features three stepped buttresses. It has Cotswold dormers made of coursed squared and dressed limestone, matching the buttresses. The roof is covered with concrete tiles, and there are 20th-century ashlar gable end stacks. The flat gable coping is adorned with roll cross saddles on the dormers. The house has a three-room plan and is one storey high with an attic, which is lit by three Cotswold dormers. The windows are three and four-light flat-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods.
