Description

Gate piers at Green Farm date from the mid to late 18th century. They consist of two large cast iron cannon barrels with bulbous ends positioned on either side of the gate, along with four smaller cannon barrels incorporated into the fencing on the right and left. These piers are reputed to have originally served as a toll gate located near a bridge close to Adlestrop.
