Description
Green Farm is a detached farmhouse located in Lower Oddington, dating from the late 17th to early 18th century, with some 19th-century additions. The building is constructed of coursed, squared, and dressed limestone, with sandstone quoins and a stone slate roof, featuring ashlar and brick stacks. The main body of the farmhouse is 'L' shaped, with a late 17th to early 18th-century section and a 19th-century extension at the rear left. There is also a converted barn attached at the rear right, which was built in two phases. The farmhouse has a gable-end that projects forward on the left side and is two storeys tall with an attic, while the rest of the house is two storeys. The right side of the projecting gable end has four bays. Most windows are double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements, some dating from the 19th century, featuring stopped hoods, with a mix of leaded panes and horizontal glazing bars. A 19th-century part-glazed four-panel door is located against the right-hand wall of the forward-facing gable end. The attached barn at the rear right has double doors and ventilation slits, with 20th-century roof trusses. The interior has not been inspected.
