Description

The terrace revetment and steps at the rear of Fox Hill Manor were built in the 20th century. They are made of coursed, squared limestone and feature flat copings and ashlar piers. Central stone steps lead up to the terrace, which is flanked by two square piers topped with large ball finials. The walls are approximately 2 meters high and extend about 20 meters to the right and left, supported by raking buttresses. The walls and coping curve upwards to meet the square piers with ball finials, which rise to about 3 meters in height at the far right and far left. Each pier is part of a pair that flanks a blocked round-headed archway.
