Description

This is a pair of gate piers and gates that used to serve as the entrance to the deer park associated with Brockhampton Park. They were built in the 18th to 19th century and are made of ashlar limestone. The square piers feature moulded cappings and ball finials. The double cast-iron gates curve upward at the center and have spear-headed uprights. The deer park was once renowned for its herd of white deer.
