Description
The Clock House, along with No 4 Brockhampton Mews, is a former stable block that has been converted into two houses, likely from the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and finely dressed limestone with an artificial stone finish and features a stone slate roof. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and includes a central axial weather-boarded clock tower, which has clock faces on all four sides, specifically for The Clock House.
The Clock House itself is a single-storey structure with two original 2-light stone mullioned casements that do not have glazing bars. There are two blocked double-width openings on the right side, one of which contains a 20th-century bull's-eye window. Additionally, there is a blocked entrance between the two 2-light casements on the left side and some 20th-century skylights.
No 4 is a two-storey building with irregular fenestration. It has two 20th-century two-light casements on the first floor and two similar windows on the ground floor, all featuring concrete lintels. There is a 20th-century six-panel door located off-centre on the left, with a plate glass window to the right, and a single 20th-century skylight. The Clock House has saddleback gable end coping and pointed finials, and the clock tower is topped with a pyramidal roof. The interiors have not been inspected.
