Description
The Bookshop The Swan Public House is a mid-19th century building designed in the style of the late 17th or early 18th century. It features coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and a slate roof. The building has a symmetrical facade with two storeys and three windows. On either side of the central doorway, which has a flat bracketed hood, are two-storey canted bays that extend into the roof. The bays contain stone mullion and transom windows with one, three-light window above the door that has arched lights. The door is modern and glazed, and there are plain dripmoulds above the windows. The steeply pitched roof has stone verges and end stacks. To the right, there is a plain lower extension that is not of special interest.
