Description
The Windmill Antiquary, formerly known as The Bookshop, is a red brick house dating from around 1730, located on the north side of High Street. It features a parapetted design and an old red tile roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has three segmental-headed windows on the first and second floors, which are fitted with 19th-century sash frames. The edges of the elevation are adorned with cut brick Doric pilasters, which are interrupted by a modern ground floor shop front. Additionally, there is an architrave and frieze blocks, along with a continuous plastered brick dentilled cornice. The building is topped with a crowning parapet that has a moulded capping.
