Description
Queen's Head House, also known as Old Shop Antiques, is a mid-19th century building located on the east side of High Street in Moreton-in-the-Marsh. It is two storeys high, constructed of rubble with a slate roof, and features three ridge chimneys. The building has four bays, with the right-hand bay being a later brick extension that includes a coach entry with double doors and a two-light casement window above.
The two left bays are characterized by two-storey timber angled bays that contain sash windows, with a panelled door and overlight situated between them. The centre right-hand bay features an angled timber bay on the first floor that projects over a mid to late 19th-century shopfront. This shopfront is adorned with a corniced fascia, patterned headed lights, and central half-glazed doors that have marginal glazing and Ionic pilasters.
