Description
The gazebo at Kingsmead House is a structure from the mid to late 18th century. It features roughcast walls set on a chamfered stone plinth and has a swept stone slate roof with built-out eaves, topped by a ball finial. There is a small brick stack on the west side. The gazebo is a small hexagon, single storey, located at the edge of the garden next to the pavement.
On the northeast side, facing Kingsmead House, there is a door made of four fielded panels, framed in plain cement and wood, accessed by two large semi-circular moulded stone steps. Inside, there are four 12-pane sash windows, each with a window seat, which are incorporated into contemporary dado panelling. The remaining wall features a plain stone fireplace, which has a possibly later inset grate.
